LVH: Las Vegas Hilton Hotel

The Las Vegas Hilton Hotel is located a mile or so east of the Strip on a large 64 acre parcel of land that is adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center. To some degree, it is off on its own, but its guests have the advantage of a monorail stop that takes them directly to the heart of the Strip in a few minutes.

The hotel was built in 1969, but many of its 2,956 rooms and 305 suites have been renovated lately, as have some of its public areas, including its lobby. It has a decent sized casino with 74,000 square feet (6,900 square meters) of gaming space, along with a large 400 seat sports booking and viewing area.

There is also a nice pool area, though it is not really up to par with some of the best at the new hotels. It is an odd shape, almost like a bell, and there is ample space around it to sun yourself.

There are always a number of popular shows at the Hilton. They might nit have the headliners you would find here in years past, though what shows they have are always top notch.

Dining options at the hotel are quite diverse, with 15 restaurants to choose from. There’s everything from Benihana to YJ’s Steak House and low-key dining at Paradise Cafe.

Many people stay at the Hilton because they have conventions either at its own 200,000 square foot convention center or at the neighboring Las Vegas Convention Center, and it is a great option for convention goers, especially with the option of the monorail there to whisk you to the Strip.

If you are not going to a convention, you can often find some great room deals at the resort. If you can, get one of the renovated Premium rooms, as they are well worth the slightly increased rate over the standard rooms.
