The Four Queens Hotel and Casino

Located on iconic Fremont Street in the heart of downtown Las Vegas, the Four Queens Hotel and Casino has one of the most famous neon marquees in Las Vegas, and in the world, for that matter.

The hotel is located right smack in the middle of the Fremont Experience, the canopy-covered pedestrian mall which takes up a 1,500 foot stretch of Fremont Street.

This is by no means your high end, glamorous Las Vegas resort like the Bellagio, Venetian, or CityCenter. But it’s not a bad place either.

Probably deserving of a solid three star rating, the Four Queens does look a little dated inside. But the rooms are queen, and the casino is quite large by Fremont Street standards. It’s also a fun, relaxed place to gamble, with low table minimums, and no feeling of pressure to bet more or move out.

It’s also a good place from which to enjoy the Fremont Street Experience and its fun light and sound show, called “Viva Vision”, billed as the biggest TV screen on the planet.

The hotel was first built in 1966 and has been renovated continually over the years, the most recent time in 2009. It has 690 rooms, and has no hotel. However, if you are a guest, you can use the pool on the roof of Binion’s Gambling Hall and Hotel across the street.

All in all, it isn’t a new place or a luxurious place, and it doesn’t have any of the bells and whistles of the latest resorts. But if you want to explore Fremont Street and you can find a room at a reasonable price, you could do worse.

So if you are looking for a nice place to play the tables or the slots, and you just want to relax, maybe lay out by a pool, and have a low key time, then the Four Queens might be right up your alley.
