A lot has changed at the Treasure Island over the past few years, with the de-emphasizing of the whole pirate theme and shift from being a family hotel to more of an adult one. But one thing, thankfully, has not changed, and that is Cirque du Soleil’s Mystère, which is still playing at the resort.
Mystère opened at Treasure Island way back in 1993, and it still manages to absolutely captivate the crowds day in and day out. Rather than try to describe it to you in any sort of detail, I will defer to the video below to give you a taste of what you are in for at this amazing show.
The seamless integration of song, dance, gymnastics, acrobatics, tumbling, puppetry, magnificent sets, and most of all, comedy, is what makes this show such a huge success and one you truly will never forget.
This is the first Cirque du Soleil that many of us saw, and it was the show that got us all hooked. Even those of us that were dragged to the show by others found ourselves drawn in – it is impossible to resist.
This is a show that will appeal to everyone from children to grandparents. There is literally always something fascinating to look at, and most often you will find yourself trying to look five places at once.
As an added benefit, tickets for Mystère are frequently as much as fifty percent less than other Cirque du Soleil shows, to it’s a great option for families trying not to break the bank. But don’t worry, this show is no less spectacular.
The cast is huge and magnificent, as are the sets, the music, the singing, and all the acrobatics – everything will simply awe and amaze you. Even the jaded folks with short attention spans will love it – in fact, it is perfect for them, as it is always changing, always keeping you on the edge of your seat.
