Treasure Island Pirate Show

by admin on August 19, 2011

The Treasure Island pirate show is one of the favorite attractions along the Las Vegas Strip. The show, also called the “Sirens of TI,” runs every evening at 5:30, 7:00, 8:30 and 10:00 p.m., year round, weather permitting.

The show is quite an elaborate production, with dance numbers, explosions, cannons firing, and sexy women (and guys too – it s a pirate show, after all). But the best part is that it is totally free. Take a look at the show in high definition in the video below.

As you can see, the show is fund to watch, and it is actually both more elaborate and sexier now that it has been revamped as “Sirens of TI” (the show was overhauled from its original production about 5 years ago).

The set of the show is the first thing you will notice when you arrive, and it is really quite elaborate, with one pirate ship visible, “docked” in a huge tank of water. A second ship remains hidden around a bend until it is revealed heading towards the crowd during the show.

And don’t let the price tag fool you – while free, the show runs a full 18 minutes and is very exciting and fun to watch, as you would expect from the man that also created High School Musical, director Kenny Ortega.

The show has it all – sword fights, dance routines, dives from dizzying heights into dark waters – so make sure you get there early to stake out great spots to see all the action. Generally, the spots along the bridge heading to the casino are best, either on the left of the right side against the railings as you face the casino entrance.

The cast members are all professional dancers and many re singers too. The have performed off Broadway, and they show off their full talents in this show. It’s not one to miss when you visit Las Vegas, and the price is hard to beat.
