One of the best known and most beloved attractions in all of Las Vegas is the magnificent Bellagio Water Show, a choreographed series of jets of water that create an intricate “dance” in the vast fountain area in front of the Bellagio Hotel each and every afternoon and night.
If you have not yet seen the water show, then you are in for areal treat when you get to Las Vegas, because it is absolutely stunning, and it stops traffic in its tracks each and every time it is performed.
The above video presents a unique and utterly spectacular view of the Bellagio fountain show – from and 18th floor room of the Bellagio hotel itself. You can watch the show anywhere in front of the hotel, along Las Vegas Boulevard, and the best part of all is that the show is absolutely free.
The fountains are actually an eight acre man made lake in front of the hotel. The water in the lake does not have to be piped in but instead comes from a deep well dug on the site of the hotel to irrigate an old golf course.
The Bellagio water show itself is created by a series on 1,200 nozzles that spray water in every different patter and direction. The show is choreographed in advance to match pre-selected songs, and each and every move of each individual nozzle is controlled by a sophisticated computer system.
The fountain show is something that everyone in your family will really love, from adults to kids. I’ve seen young children watch the entire show without looking away even once – it is simply that entrancing.
If you want a truly spectacular view of the water show, head up to the observation deck of the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas across the street. The view of the show from up on high has to be seen to believed. But you have to plan ahead, because the line to get up the Eiffel tower can get long at nights, when the viewing of the fountains is best.
