Eiffel Tower Ride

by admin on August 24, 2011

The Eiffel Tower ride at Paris, Las Vegas is one of the best ways to get to see the entire Strip, especially if you are staying in a room without a view or in one with a view of the mountains.

Finding the entrance to the ride can be a bit confusing, so here are the details. You board the elevator up to the Eiffel Tower from a level above the Paris Las Vegas casino. If you enter the casino from the Strip, you head to the left, underneath a long foot bridge and to a gift ship, where you buy the tickets.

You then line up to the left of the gift shop (when it is busy) to take a set of stairs up to the bridge. You cross the bridge to an elevator, waiting in line for the next available car. The video below shows the ride up to the tower at night, when the Strip is at its most spectacular.

As you can see, the ride up is about a minute or so, with good views along the way (and the car up has glass doors, so if you don’t love heights, you might want to close your eyes). Once you are at the top, the views are simply breathtaking.

You get a 360 view, and there are holes in the mesh fencing to let you take pictures from every possible angle without fearing dropping your camera.

Choosing whether to go up in the day or at night is a bit of a tossup. In the daytime, there tends to be less of a wait and it is less crowded up top. The price is generally also lower by about $5 all day long.

Below is a video of the top of the Eiffel Tower ride in the daytime with the amazing Bellagio Fountain show from above, which is quite a treat. In addition to the resorts of the Strip, you can see the mountains too, which are quite beautiful.

At night time, you get the wonderful Vegas Strip lights, which are spectacular. And in the summer, it can be intensely hot up top, so the weather is much more comfortable on summer nights, another factor to consider.
