As great as the Mandalay Bay hotel is, there are two hotels that are better, not just in Las Vegas but within the same resort complex. One is the Four Seasons, and the other is THEhotel.

THEhotel at Mandalay Bay is a bit of a well kept secret in Las Vegas. It is more of a boutique hotel feel, despite the fact that it has 1,117 rooms on 43 floors.

This is one stylish hotel, and quite possibly, along with the Four Seasons, one of the top two hotels in all of Las Vegas.

Now that is saying quite a lot, given all the other AAA five diamond rated resorts in town these days. Just what makes this place so special? Part of it isn’t what THEhotel has that sets it apart but what is doesn’t have. Namely, it is just a hotel, not a casino. And this can make all the difference in the world in terms of design, feel, and service.

The staff at the hotel dress in all black, an the service is excellent all around, making you feel at home, or rather, making you feel like you belong here, in the sleek and stylish world.

The rooms here are all suites and absolutely gorgeous, like you have stepped right into a scene from Vanity Fair or Vogue. The average suite starts at 750 square feet, so you will have plenty of room to kick back, watch some TV or just enjoy the fabulous decor and views.

THEhotel shares a number of facilities with Mandalay bay, allowing its guests access to the Mandalay’s casino, massive pool area (complete with a wave pool and lazy river) and beautiful shops, shows, and clubs.

Of course this place has its own dining and nightlife too, including MIX Lounge, a trendy club located atop the hotel tower with simply amazing 360 degree views of the entire strip and the rest of the city.

And the restaurants on site include The Cafe, a truly gorgeous little chic-casual cafe with great food and The Coffee House. There are many other great options both at Mandalay Bay and at the Mandalay Place shopping center.

There are also a number of really chic and popular clubs and restaurants right next door at Luxor, just a quick elevated tram ride away (or you can reach the by walking through Mandalay Place).
